About

As a practitioner of East Asian Medicine, I look for what we describe as ‘patterns of disharmony’, the ways a person’s body, experiences, and environment interact and influence one another. By recognising the full landscape of a person through these patterns, I can offer treatments that restore balance, support the body’s natural capacity to recover, and help people feel more grounded and well in themselves.

I work with a range of East Asian medicinal therapies including acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and Gua Sha, combined with an informed understanding of contemporary healthcare. I prioritise listening, clear explanation, and collaborative care, creating a space where you can relax, feel supported, and receive treatments tailored to your needs.

Background

I originally trained, and continue to work, as an artist. Alongside this, I have spent over 20 years in the care and support sector, first working directly with people living with dementia and disabilities, and later serving as a Disability Advisor in higher education. These experiences, rooted in both creativity and care, shaped my approach to understanding people and their lives and found a natural home in the practice of acupuncture. It offers me a lifelong practice that weaves together these threads and provides a meaningful way to contribute to the wellbeing and balance of my community.

Qualifications

I hold a First-Class BSc (Hons) in East Asian Medicine: Acupuncture from the Northern College of Acupuncture. My training spanned three years and included over 500 hours of clinical practice, as well as in-depth study of anatomy and physiology, biomedicine, pharmacology, and East Asian medical theory.

I am a member of:

  • British Acupuncture Council - the leading professional body and a quality mark for high standards of training, safe practice and professional conduct.

  • Acupuncture Fertility Network – a professional network of acupuncturists specialising in fertility, dedicated to advancing expertise, standards, and professionalism within the community.

  • National Acupuncture Detoxification Association – a five-point ear acupuncture treatment known for helping addiction and substance misuse.
